Hi, I also used this pic in conjunction with Meagara-Temple-Blue-Stock in a deviation here [link] As a Bryce user of many years myself, I am impressed with this picture. The degredation of the arches and the variety and naturalness of the trees is impressive and very unbryce like. Nice work.
Thanks! The arches are a model from Daz not made in Bryce. and you can get degradation in bryce if you use a terraine as your wall and sculpt it in the terraine editor, but it is a lot harder and models are real cheap at DAZ,, same goes with the other pic of the Temple, bought at Daz.. the trees in the background are a photo placed on a plane, then I use Daz trees on the side to fill in. The Water refraction in the other pic is called a Caustic and is used high up with a volumetric fill and lights causing the swirled lights look on the sand,, very render intensive and time consuming, but well worth the effect.
Caustics are just texture and are imported into Bryce like any other texture and are not native to Bryce. I used to have several of them, but I can look and see if I can find them and send them to you.. I am in the middle of remodeling my bedroom this weekend, so give me some time to find them. Send me a note called caustics so i can remember what it is I am looking for and for whom..
